Kingspan AIR-CELL® Insulation has been installed into the new building as part of the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre complex, and the cladding contractors have been thrilled with the results.
“We couldn’t believe how far ahead of schedule we were using Kingspan AIR-CELL®,” says Mr. Adam Dridan, Project Manager of Academy Roofing (Zinc Division) who were contractors on the project. He was delighted with the ease in which Kingspan AIR-CELL® Insulation was installed.
Mr. Dridan continues, “Not only were we able to install Kingspan AIR-CELL® incredibly quickly, but it provided a fantastic waterproof weather barrier and rain screen, which allowed works for the internal services to begin a lot quicker. It really did help the project keep moving forward.”
The new building project at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre encompassed 15,000 m2 covering the walls with Kingspan AIR-CELL Glareshield®.
Designed by NH Architecture, the new building is a 6-Star rated building under the Green Building Council of Australia’s (GBCA) GreenStar rating system. Kingspan AIR-CELL Glareshield® was selected because of its significant contribution to thermal performance and its fibre-free, non-allergenic characteristics.
